Traveling day. Was a warm, sunny day so good for being on the road. It is about 350 miles from Williamsburg VA to where Rick and Sue live in Charlotte NC. We did learn a new piece of geography - Charlotte is on the border of North and South Carolina. We actually drove in South Carolina for 2 minutes:) Took about 6 hours and we can say that Interstate 85 is a very busy 6 to 8 lane highway.
We arrived a little before anyone was home from work so found a shopping mall and rested in the car for a few minutes, then walked around a couple stores, and got gas and had the car washed. Drove to Rick and Sue's.
Sue and Karen went to business college together in Portland in the early '70s. They have the same birthday. The 4 of us were together in Eugene for Karen and Sue's 40 birthday, and Karen and Celeste drove to Roseburg for the day but that was over 16 years ago. Rick and Sue have lived in North Carolina for over 20. That is all said to say we haven't had much contact.

We went to dinner at a wonderful southern barbecue restaurant. We talked and did some catching up.
Even though we are on vacation we have kept up on the election. We are thankful for much and will continue loving Jesus and loving other.
